What are IRES Implants?

These are implants with two different surface types: rough in the lower half and smoother, so-called in the upper part – diecastic.

Why do we need IRES Hybrid Implants?

In order not to lose implants after a few years due to the so-called periimplantitis.

Hybrid implants are the only ones that have two different surfaces (structures) that minimize the penetration of bacteria.

What is Periimplantitis?

They can be popularly called the inflammation of the implant, which can be caused by many factors. Periimplantitis can progress and lead to the unveiling of parts of the implant or even its loss.

What are the causes of Periimplantitis?

They can be ‘at fault’ by a doctor, patient or non-culpable – caused by the weakening of the immune system through age, individual predispositions and so-called. environmental factors.

How do we know that IRES Implants survive longer?

From many years of observation, from the 80s, so-called implants machines that are successfully used today. After 2000, however, mass implants were implanted with a rough surface, which, if exposed, creates the risk of implant loss. The hybrid implants have a machine surface in their upper part, which is more resistant to bacterial build-up in case of exposure and thus can protect against implant loss.

How can I be sure that all this information is real?

The Polish Association of Dental Implantology – EDI OSIS recommends the use of hybrid implants because the effects of their use are consistent in the results of research and observation conducted by members of EDI OSIS. The use of hybrid implants is particularly recommended in patients after bone regeneration, patients with periodontitis and other patients with so-called increased risk factors. High-risk groups also include smokers, diabetics and people with osteoporosis, they are at risk of perimplantitis.

Are IRES Hybrid Implants a proven solution?

The only ‘novelty’ in IRES Implants is the ‘old’ machine surface (in the upper half of the implant) used and tested for the longest of all known surfaces of titanium implants since the 50s of the last century. Other technological features like the shape of the screw or the connection with the crown – are similar to other leading systems.

Does the IRES Implant require special skills from the implantologist?

No. They are implanted in the same way as other available implants, and prosthetics can be used on them even using other systems that implantologists currently work with. Remember, however, that the dentist’s knowledge and practical skills influence the success of the treatment. Therefore, it is worth choosing a cured implantologist.

What is the difference between IRES Hybrid Implants and titanium-zirconium hybrid implants?

The zirconia collar does not grow on the bone.

What do hybrid implants with hyaluronic acid give you?

Laboratory tests have shown that the hyaluron coating gives more bone around the implant in less time. The bone is thicker, harder and more resistant to mechanical effects faster.

The machine surface of the hybrid additionally protects against periimplantitis.

“Healing” or “implantation” of the implant?

Healing is usually defined as the process of restoring the integrity and function of the body’s tissues after an injury. For implanted implants, the term ‘implantation’ is used more often as the implant is a foreign body placed in the body’s tissues and is expected to be integrated with the surrounding tissues.
